Several book signings for Dan's Story are being lined up in Citrus County in October and November. So far it looks like there will be book signing events at Central Florida Community College, Unity Church of Citrus County, and the Central Ridge Library. The latter event will be co-sponsored by the Citrus County Chronicle. I am going to be away for the next three weeks, but I will post specific dates for these events after I get back home. I will be delighted to sign books for whomever would like a signed copy!

My new book, Dan's Story, is being released today, August 29. I'm happy to finally have it in print. Starting on October 4th, I will be teaching an eight-week class on Principles of Holistic Health based on this book, so the release of the book is timely! The class will be offered at Central Florida Community College's Citrus campus. An article about it was in the Ocala Star Banner yesterday, and will be appearing in the Citrus County Chronicle soon. I'm looking forward to teaching this class to interested students. My website has more information about the book for anyone interested in reviewing it.

I'm enjoying delicious, homemade lentil soup today. We made it earlier this week, and it is especially good on a rainy day like this one. To make it, we mixed a one pound bag of dried lentils with six cups of water in a large pan. After bringing it to a boil, we put the cover on and let it simmer on low for 35 minutes. Then we added one can of Italian style diced tomatoes and one half cup of medium salsa. We also added one cup of veggies leftover in the refrigerator from the night before. They include diced potatoes, diced carrots, chopped Vidalia onion, and one third of a cup of chopped greens. We let this simmer another ten minutes, and then it was ready to serve. It was delicious!

My new book, Dan's Story, is scheduled to be published by mid-September, 2008. I'm getting nice reviews from colleagues who are previewing the book. The book will be helpful to anyone looking for guidance in improving his/her lifestyle. I will also be offering seminars or workshops to schools, churches, or other community organizations wanting good health information.
